Canada Place is one of the most unique landmarks in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. That’s because it not only consists of one of the most luxurious hotels in the city, but because it’s only a few steps from where cruise come in and out of the city via the port of Vancouver.

The site was originally an old cargo pier that was rebuilt for Expo ’86, a gala World’s Fair that was held in Vancouver that year. One of its most popular features is the Promenade into History, where guests move along a walkway on a self-guided picture and story-laden exploration of Vancouver’s past, while enjoying views of the harbor. Another of its most popular attractions is the IMAX Theatre, which shows both regular and 3D movies all day long. It also contains the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre.
