One of the most spectacular hotel experiences in Vancouver can be found at the Pan Pacific Hotel. It’s a collection of 503 rooms and suites, each suite more luxurious than the next one, until the experience reaches its pinnacle with a stay in the royal suite. It is part of the Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts is a hotel-management company of 20 hotels in 11 countries.
Many of the rooms and suites offer panoramic vistas of the harbor, mountains, Stanley Park and the city skyline. The hotel also has two upscale restaurants, as well as offering a variety of meeting and conference rooms.
However, when we talk about luxury hotels, we like to talk about the best of the best. In this case, the Pan Pacific not only doesn’t disappoint, but it exceeds. There are multiple levels of suites, but four basic styles of suites all are more than 1,175 square feet, larger than the interior of a small house.
The first levels of upper suites are the Jade & Topaz Suites, which offers the option of connecting to a premier harbor-view bedroom, transforming it into a two bedroom suite. These rooms offer a large master bedroom, bathrooms lined in Italian marble, a whirlpool bathtub, and obviously a spacious living area.
Next we have the Coral, Amber, and Opal suites, each one the same size, yet each room designed differently, which offers the choice of living contemporary or modern. Along with the space, you move up even more as these rooms also have a Hypnos bed, fine Italian linens, Bulgari personal amenities, and a dining table for 6. The rooms also come with binoculars so that you can see even further than your panoramic vista view is already giving you, and offers the option of connecting to a second bedroom.
Finally we move up to the Pacific and Royal suites, offering 1,650 square feet of living space. These suites are on the top floor, offering the best views of the city and the surrounding area, which includes views of Stanley Park, Lions Gate Bridge, Coal Harbour & Coastal Mountains. Each of these rooms are also designed differently, but include some similar items such as a king size “Wendover Supreme” Hypnos bed with fine Italian linens, Unique artwork throughout suite, a baby grand piano, a ceramic tile bathroom with radiant heated flooring with Jacuzzi tub, rain shower and steam, 3 flat screen TV’s, including a 50 inch television’s in the living area & master bedroom and a 32 inch television in bathroom. There’s also the option of adding a third bedroom to the royal suite if needed.
This is no ordinary hotel, as evidenced above, and it’s close to the Vancouver Convention Centre, the World Trade Centre, and is within walking distance of both Robson Street in downtown Vancouver and the historic Gastown District. If you’re looking to be pampered, the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver should be at the top of your list.
